Parent/teacher conferences will be held on on October 26th and 27th. These conferences are an excellent opportunity to talk about your child’s progress with his/her teacher. Conference times are October 26th, from 3:00-8:00 p.m., and October 27th, from 12:00-4:00 p.m. and 5:00-7:00 p.m. There will be no school on October 27th and 28th.
Parents will be given the option of having their conference in person, through Google Meets, or over the phone. Teachers will be in contact with parents about scheduling conference times beginning the week of October 11th. Time requests are due by October 14th.

A school board vacancy has been created due to the resignation of Chase Barker (Melrose Township). The school board is seeking applications to fill this position on the school board. The newly appointed school board member will serve until the next school board election, April 2023.
Candidates must meet the following guidelines:
- Be a resident of Melrose Township
- Be a United States citizen
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be a resident of Illinois and the District for at least one year immediately preceding the appointment
- Be a registered voter
- Not hold another incompatible public office
Citizens interested in being considered for appointment to the Payson CUSD #1 School Board should email letters of application responding to the questions below by noon on August 12, 2022 to: boardvacancy@cusd1.org. The Payson CUSD#1 Board of Education will review letters of interest and appoint an individual.
