Howdy Partners! We are ready to round-up some Kindergarteners for next year!
When: Friday, April 25, 2025 from 9-10:00 am
Location: Elementary Multipurpose Room
Who’s Invited?... Students who will turn 5 on or before September 1, 2025 and are ready to enter Kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year and parents.
What we will be doing…We will be completing a book and activity with the kids in our Kindergarten classrooms. While your child is in the room, parents will be given information and have an opportunity to speak with the nurse, secretary, and principal. After the round-up, there will also be a short time to talk with teachers and to view the classrooms. If your child does not currently attend Payson Preschool we will schedule a screening time for your child. Times are available directly before and after the round-up activities.
What you will need to do to prepare…If your child does not currently attend our school’s preschool program, Contact Mrs. Geczi at the school office (656-3439) as soon as possible to set up a screening time . New students will also need to bring along a certified copy of your child’s birth certificate (we can make a copy if needed).
Payson Preschool For All has scheduled a developmental screening for all preschool aged children in the district on Friday, April 25, 2025.The screening includes motor, cognitive and language skills. Hearing and vision will also be part of the screening. Children need to be three before August 31, 2025 and not already enrolled in Pre-K. Please call the elementary office Monday-Friday at (217)656-3439 to schedule an appointment. After you have scheduled your appointment, please stop by the elementary office to pick up a packet or to make arrangements to have it mailed to you. Please fill out the packet and bring that along with a certified copy of your child’s birth certificate and proof of income.
Community members, parents, students, and staff are all invited to sign up for the Payson Athletics Remind group to be up to date on all games, cancellations, or other important information to be shared.

2024-25 Instructional, Meal and Sport Fees
All instructional fees are due by August 23, 2024. If you are unable to make the full payment, please contact the office to set up a payment plan.
Meal accounts should be in the positive at the beginning of each week.
Sports fees and physical are due by the first practice.

2024-25 Fee Waiver Application
If you wish to apply for free/reduced meals, you will need to fill out the application. If you wish to apply for an instructional fee waiver, then you must fill out the free/reduced meal application as well as the fee waiver application. Applications may be submitted to the offices beginning August 1, 2024. You can apply at any time during the school year as the need arises.
Breakfast is served daily at the elementary for all students K-12th from 7:30-8:00 a.m.

2024-25 Registration
ALL STUDENTS NEED TO BE REGISTERED BETWEEN AUGUST 1-16, 2024 FOR THE 2024-25 SCHOOL YEAR.
Online Registration will tentatively open August 1, 2024 in your Skyward Family Access. You will have a registration tile in Skyward Family Access when it has been published.
August 5, from 8am-12pm--GS and JH/HS offices will be open for NEW STUDENT registration and to pay fees by cash or check.
August 6, from 8-11:30 AM and from12-3:00pm--GS and JH/HS offices will be open for RETURNING STUDENTS registration (on a chromebook) and to pay fees by cash or check.
If you are unable to register online or want to pay your fees in person and are unavailable for these dates, please call or email the building secretary AFTER AUGUST 1, 2024 to set up an appointment.
