We have established a Payson Seymour High School Athletic Hall-of-Fame. The first class will be inducted at Homecoming on Fri, Feb 4. To be inducted, a nominee was required to receive at least 75% of the votes from the selection committee. Of those nominated, we had four that will be inducted. These four have either made remarkable contributions to Payson Seymour Athletics or had remarkable success in athletics. They are:
Art Loy (coach) - coached 3 sports for almost 35 years.
Lester Fusselman (player) - played professional baseball for almost ten seasons, two in the Major Leagues with the St. Louis Cardinals.
Lisa Brown (player) - was a 3-sport star during her high school career and went on to success in college athletics as well.
Bud Scranton (friend) - has continually supported Payson Seymour Athletics since he graduated in 1943.
We are planning to induct a class each year at Homecoming. If you would like to make a nomination, you can find the nomination form on our website. Thanks!
