The Payson School Board of Education is working to fill a Board vacancy. The individual selected will serve on the School Board from the date of appointment until the next election in the Spring of 2021.  At which time, the individual will need to run for election if they wish to continue serving on the Board. All interested parties need to submit a letter of qualifications for board consideration by noon April 14, 2020 to the following email address, boardvacancy@cusd1.org.

Include with your qualifications the answers to the following questions:

1. Why do you want to be a board member?
2. What specific skills would you bring to the table?
3. Please give specific examples of your ability to work as a team.
4. What do you see as the role of a Board member?
5. What areas would you like to see the Board strengthen?

Per Unity's AD:  The Unity-Payson middle school football season has been suspended due to possible litigation and insurance concerns. The conference's stance is it will follow the lead of the IHSA when it makes a decision about high school football in the next few weeks.

NHS is sponsoring a blood drive on March 12 from 12:00-6:00 p.m. in the HS library. Call 1-800-RED CROSS to set up an appointment.

The volleyball team will be hosting a dinner on Feb 22.  Menu consists of:  pork chop, hamburger or hot dog, cheesy potatoes, green beans, dessert, and lemonade.  Cost is $7.
