*Volleyball team plays in the SE Tournament tonight at 5:00. Bus at 3:30.
*In case you missed it, the Unity-Payson Football team won their season opener Friday night against Carrollton 32-26. They would like to have your support this coming Friday for their home opener as they look to go 2-0.
*Unity-Payson football shirts & hoodies are still for sale. Order forms are in the office and due tomorrow.

*Jostens will be here Thursday afternoon after school to pick up any remaining orders. They need to hear from the following students or anyone else who has questions: Britney Kramer, Bryce Terwelp, Marikkia Velez, Sarah Woodworth. Come to the office if you have any questions.
*Dual Credit papers for college courses are due to Mrs. Callahan by Fri morning, Sept 3.
*Full Marching band rehearsal will be held on Fri, Sept 3 immediately after school. Students will march up to the park and back for parade preparation, approximately a 30 minute rehearsal when we start marching.
*Flags need to be present after school on tomorrow to check routine individually and Sept 3 to march with the entire band.
*The Payson Marching Indians will be marching at the Pittsfield Fall Festival on Sat, Sept 4. Bus time is at 10:30 am, leaving approximately at 10:45 am and parade starts at 1:00. We will be staying for the awards, so bring money for snacks. Please bring your change of clothes for after the parade. Also, do not forget your black socks and totally black shoes. Arrival time home is approximately 4:30 pm.
*Applications for Student Council are in the office. They are due Sept 3rd. JH students, turn them into Mrs. Gilligan; HS students to Mrs. Rosenkrans. All NEW student council members must submit an application--this includes freshmen wanting to be in HS student council.
*Grace Behrensmeyer has a book available in the library.
*High School Book Club will be meeting on the second Thursday of each month in Mr. Mast's room. The first meeting is during HS lunch on Sept 9. Bring your lunch and book ideas.
*Junior High Book Club will be meeting on the third Thursday of each month in the library. The first meeting is during JH lunch on Sept 16. Go through the line, get your lunch and then come over to the library.
*September is "Read a NEW Book" month at the library. Read one of the books off of the new book shelf and enter your name in a drawing to receive free books, posters and/or bookmarks. Winners will be drawn on Sept 30.

*A talent competition is being held at the Liberty Fall Festival on Sat, Sept 11 at 6:00 pm. It is free to enter and cash prizes will be awarded to the top three in each category. Registration deadline is Thurs, Sept 9. Call 217-316-9468 to sign up.
The main screen with the grades has changed. After logging into the INOW screen, click "Grades" on the left and this will bring up your child's schedule with their average grade for each. To see details for each class, click on the "A" under "Activities.
The attendance for each child can now also be accessed here. If you have any questions or need help with your password, call your child's school.
School will be dismissed early on Mon, Aug 30 & Tues, Aug 31 -- high school at 1:55 and elementary at 2:05.
The HS/JH announcements are on the High School page. Go to the "Schools" tab on top, select "HS", then "Payson JH/HS". Click on the heading of the announcement (for example: Mon, Aug 23) to view all announcments for that day.
Parents please note the change in the start to the school day. The high school starts at 8:04 am and the elementary starts at 8:14 am.
