*Lunch for Tues, Nov 8 is corndogs, broccoli with cheese, cheesecake & fruit

*The Blackburn College Rep will be here today during lunch.

*JH Boys Basketball plays tonight at Southeastern (at Bowen) at 6:00.  Bus at 4:30.

*Meeting schedule tomorrow will be first for Spanish Club and then the Sophomore Class will meet at 1:50.

*Pep Club is hosting a breakfast on Thurs, Nov 10 starting at 7:30 for the fall sports of golf, football, volleyball & marching band.

*Reminder to Pep Club members to bring their food items in tomorrow (Weds)..

*There is no school on Fri, Nov 11 for Veterans Day.

*Pep Club is selling basketball shirts with the players, cheerleaders & dancers names on the back.  An example is on the office window and order forms are in the office.  A short sleeve t-shirt is $10.00; long sleeve t-shirt is $13.00.  Orders are due by Fri, Nov 18.

*Hat day is this Thursday. To participate, the cost is $1 payable to Mrs. Rosenkrans in the morning prior to first hour starting. All proceeds will be given to the Fishes and Loaves Food Pantry.

*There are extra baseball caps from the JH season available for sale for $5.00.  See Mr. Bainter if you're interested.

*The next Payson Pride celebration is Nov 30.  To participate in the day, you need to be have zero tardies from Oct 13 until Nov 30 along with zero office referrals.

*Do you need community service hours?  Here are a few opportunities:

  • The concession stand for JH girls basketball needs workers.  Please stop by the office if you are interested.
  • The Grade school is in need of people to help out at Homework Haven.  This runs from 3:05 – 4:00 Monday thru Thursday. Volunteers would help younger students with math, reading, science and/or spelling tests.  If you are interested, please contact Ms. Brokaw.
  • The Altrusa Coat Drive needs help sorting and sizing donated coats.  They also need help on the Coat give away day.  The list of the dates, times, and place can be found in Mrs. Callahan’s office.
  • Students interested in helping with the Read Night Program at the Elementary on Nov 17 between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM.  Please see Ms. Brokaw for more information.
