*Lunch for Tues, Oct 25 is walking taco, spanish rice, tossed salad, cookie & fruit

*We will run meeting schedule today for Pep Club & Letter Club.  The meetings will be in Ms. Isaacks room--Letter Club will be first and then we will call for Pep Club

*Volleyball plays in their regional tonight at home at 5:30.

*There will be a handbook meeting tonight at 6:30 in the library.  Anyone participating in sports or clubs must attend a meeting, along with their parents.

*JH Dance practice will be tonight from 5:30-6:00 in the HS MPR.

*If you did not receive your report card last week, please stop by the office.

*Books are available in the library for:  Skyler Durbin, Stephanie Nelson, Chase Mast, Chris Ehrhardt, Kellie Mast, Emily Hickerson 

*The Accounting class will be serving a breakfast of pancakes & sausage tomorrow.  There are preorder forms in the office and can turned in to any B.O.B. staff.  If you preorder, you receive a free drink with your meal.  The price will be $2.50 for the meal and drink.

*The yearbook staff requests that you wear your most interesting pair of shoes tomorrow.

*FBLA dues of $7.00 are due tomorrow.

*School will be dismissed at 1:55 tomorrow and there will be no school on Thurs, Oct 27 and Fri, Oct 28.  Parent-teacher conferences will be held tomorrow from 4:30 - 6:30; Thursday from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm; Friday from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm.  You do not need to make an appointment--please come any of these times and visit with your child's teachers.

*The Sadie Hawkins Dance will be on this Friday night from 7-10 pm in the HS MPR.  Cost in $4.00 per person.  This year's theme is Wild, Wild West.  Come dressed up in your fun Western wear.  Remember to keep it appropriate.  If you are bringing a student from another student, make sure you get a dance pass filled out by tomorrow.

*Student Council members--we will begin decorating at 9am on Friday morning. Remember to be on time to earn your points. Also, do not forget to bring in your food items for the dance by that time as well.

*The WCC Choral and Band Festival will be held Tues, Nov 1 in Monmouth.  The concert will be at 7:30 p.m.  Choral students should wear comfortable dress clothes and choral robes for the event.  Band students should wear comfortable dress clothes. Students should bring their music and money for lunch and supper.  We will leave the school after 1st hour.

*The Pike County Honor Choir Concert will be held Thurs, Nov 3 at Griggsville.  The concert will be at 7:00 p.m.  Students should wear black dress pants and a blue polo shirt for the event. Students need to bring their music and money for lunch and supper.  We will leave the school after 3rd hour.

*There are extra baseball caps from the JH season available for sale for $5.00.  See Mr. Bainter if you're interested.

*The next Payson Pride celebration is Nov 30.  To participate in the day, you need to be have zero tardies from Oct 13 until Nov 30 along with zero office referrals.

*Do you need community service hours?  Here are a few opportunities:

  • The concession stand for JH girls basketball needs workers.  Please stop by the office if you are interested.
  • The Grade school is in need of people to help out at Homework Haven.  This runs from 3:05 – 4:00 Monday thru Thursday. Volunteers would help younger students with math, reading, science and/or spelling tests.  If you are interested, please contact Ms. Brokaw.
  • The Altrusa Coat Drive needs help sorting and sizing donated coats.  They also need help on the Coat give away day.  The list of the dates, times, and place can be found in Mrs. Callahan’s office.
