The Payson junior high and high school Science Olympiad teams attended the Regional Science Olympiad competition on February 17th at Western Illinois University in Macomb. There were 23 different events which consisted of core knowledge events, lab events, and build events. The students earned ten 1st place, five 2nd place, one 3rd place, one 4th place, and two 5th place finishes. The junior high team placed 2nd overall and will now advance to state competition on April 19th-20th at the University of Illinois.
