*Lunch for today is a cookout with brats, hot dogs & hamburgers, doritos, ranch rotini & fruit.

*Football team plays tonight at home vs Routt Catholic at 7:00.

*JH Baseball plays tonight in the Liberty Tournament at 4:15.  Bus at 3:15.  If they lose, they will play right afterwards.  If they win, they will play Saturday morning.

*JV Volleyball plays tomorrow in the Unity Tournament.

*A reminder that the welding class will be setting off 2 loud bangs today around 9-9:30.

*Students--magazine sales will begin on Mon, Sept 13.  All 10-12th grade students will attend the kickoff during 3rd hour.  All 9th grade students will attend the kickoff during 4th hour.

*Attention: Spanish Students.  September 16 is almost here!  Be in class on time. Sr. Harbourn

 *Any high school or junior high student interested in participating in Quiz Bowl should stop by Mr. Harbourn's room to sign up for the team by Fri, Sept 17.

*Any 9th-12th grade boys that are planning on playing basketball this season need to see Mr. Rea to pick up an informational packet and handbook as soon as possible.  The information includes team shoe ordering, important dates, and a 3-Month schedule of times and events.  Please do not wait until the last minute or you will miss important information for you and your parents.
 
*The PSAT test will be given to interested juniors on Weds, Oct 13.
 
*Sign up sheets for Art Club are on the office window.  Sheets are also up for Student Council. 
 
*Junior High Book Club will be meeting on the third Thursday of each month in the library.  The first meeting is during JH lunch on Sept 16.  Go through the line, get your lunch and then come over to the library.

*September is "Read a NEW Book" month at the library.  Read one of the books off of the new book shelf and enter your name in a drawing to receive free books, posters and/or bookmarks.  Winners will be drawn on Sept 30.

*The Payson Marching Indians will be marching at the Liberty Fall Festival on Sat, Sept 11.  Bus time is at 8:30 am, leaving at approximately 8:45 am, as the parade starts at 10:00 am.  Don't forget your black socks and totally black shoes.  Home arrival time will be approximately 11:30 am.

*There is a benefit car cruise & auction for Kevin Walker, father of 8th grader Stevie Walker, on Sat, Sept 18 from 6:30 pm to ? at the County Market parking lot at 4830 Broadway.  All proceeds from the auction and food sales will go to the family for medical expenses.

*A talent competition is being held at the Liberty Fall Festival on Sat, Sept 11 at 6:00 pm.  It is free to enter and cash prizes will be awarded to the top three in each category.  Registration deadline is Thurs, Sept 9.  Call 217-316-9468 to sign up.

*QU is holding a "instrument petting zoo" for $2.00/person as a chance for kids and adults to try out new instruments.  Stop by anytime from 10:00 am - noon on Sat, Sept 11 on the North Campus of QU (18th and Seminary Rd), downstairs in the Music Dept. 

*A new music school is opening in Quincy for private & group lessons for guitar, piano, voice, acting and more.  There are cards in the office with info and phone numbers if interested.
