*Lunch for Weds, March 13 is sloppy joes, green beans, peas & baked apples

*We will run Meeting Schedule today for Student Council.

*JH CAPS leadership group will also meet today during activity period in Mrs. Germann's room. Also, the following students need to meet during activity period - Chekka Boewe, Addi Ippensen, Jackie Koetters, Ashley Wiseman, Hunter Flesner, Nick Koetters, Elizabeth Klingele, Kaitlyn Shanks, Shane Hieland.

*JH book club will meet today during meeting schedule. HS book club will meet during HS lunch on Friday.

*JH & HS book club books Turtle in Paradise and Twisted are in, and members can pick up their copy from the library.

*HS CAPS leadership group will meet today during lunch.

*The Blood Drive is today. Sign up to donate blood with Mrs. Germann. To work at the blood drive, see Mr. DeGarmo.

*NHS inductions are tomorrow evening at 7:00 pm

*All HS & JH Basketball players - turn in your practice gear & any other equipment to Mr. Rea by Friday.

*National Honor Society is hosting a food war for the local food pantry through March 21. Freshmen, take your food to Ms. Isaacks room; Sophomores to Mrs. Sullivan's room; Juniors to Ms. McGlothlin's room; Seniors to Mrs. Zanger's room; 8th grade to Mr. Clendenny's room; 7th Grade to Mr. Damm's room.

*Payson's 3-on-3 basketball tournament will be held on Sat, March 23. Entry forms are in the office and are due by March 9.

*Information is the office for the "Hoops Madness" 3-on-3 basketball tournament on March 30 at QU. Entry deadline is March 15.

*Forms for the Canton MO 3 on 3 basketball tournament are in the office. They are due on Mon, April 8

*Graduation will be Sat, May 18 at 2:00. Baccalaureate will be Weds, May 15 at 8:00 at the Christian Church.

Scholarships

The Quincy Preserves is offering a scholarship with eligibility requiring an essay on Quincy Historic architectural structures. Deadline is April 15, 2013, and applications can be obtained from Mrs. Callahan.
The Quincy Service League has applications available for a $1,000.00 scholarship to be give to an Adams County resident. Applicants will be evaluated on community service, commitment to a course of study, and financial need. See Mrs. Callahan for an application. Deadline is April 1, 2013
Altrusa International of Quincy is offering the “Patricia and Leonard Kramer Memorial Scholarship” to an Adams County high school senior. This $1,000.00 scholarship will go directly to the institution. To be eligible your GPA has to be 2.8 or higher. Applications are available in Mrs. Callahan’s office. Deadline is March 15.
The Ellis Fesler Memorial Medical Scholarship was created to provide financial aid to a graduating senior from Payson High School who will be majoring in the medical field. Applications are available in her office and are due to Mrs. Callahan on or before Fri, March 15.
The second Ellis Memorial Scholarship is open to all Payson High School seniors no matter their major. Applications for these are also in Mrs. Callahan’s office and are due on or before Fri, March 15.

The Larimore Memorial Scholarship is open to all Payson seniors who plan to attend JWCC next fall. See Mrs. Callahan for an application. The deadline is March 15.
The Elizabeth House Scholarship is open to all graduating seniors from Payson High School. The scholarship is for one year and may be used for expenses incurred by the student when entering college or a trade/technical school. Mrs Callahan has the applications, and the deadline for returning them to her is March 15.
The Accounting Scholarship was created to provide financial aid for a graduating senior from Payson High School who is pursuing a career in accounting. Deadline is March 15 to Mrs. Callahan--applications can be obtained from Mrs. Callahan.
The Illinois Lumber and Material Dealers Educational Foundation has scholarships available to those individuals whose intent is to pursue a degree in lumber and building materials or an allied field. You must submit a proposed program of study to show your true intent. Scholarship applications are available from Mrs. Callahan. Deadline is March 15.
The Plainville Lions Club Scholarship applications are available from Mrs. Callahan. Graduating Payson High School seniors regardless of intended major or postsecondary choice may apply. Students will be selected based on academics and need for funds. Deadline is March 15 to Mrs. Callahan.
The Payson Masons are offering a scholarship to Payson seniors. Students will be selected based on goals, participation in extracurricular activities, and a need for financial assistance rather than high scholastic grades. Applications can be obtained from Mrs. Callahan, and need to be returned to her on or before March 15.
The Kira Kenady Memorial Scholarship applications are available in Mrs. Callahan's office. Any graduating Payson High School senior may apply. Selection for this scholarship will NOT be based solely on scholastic grades. Deadline to Mrs. Callahan is March 15.
*The Springfield Illinois Diocesan Council of Catholic Women Female High School Senior Leadership Scholarship is now open for applications. Application directions can be obtained from Mrs. Callahan. Deadline is March 30.
