There will be a Basketball meeting for all HS boys interested in playing on the Boys Basketball Team next winter during the last 10 minutes of lunch in Mr. Rea's classroom this Fri, April 19.

*Blessing Health System Heart & Vascular Center will be providing no cost cardiac ultrasounds to children ages 13-18 to detect heart diseases.  The scans will be Tues, Aug 6 from 2:00-5:00 at Central JH.  It will take less than 10 minutes.  The screening requires written consent from a guardian and the guardian should be present for the scan.  Until school is out, call 593-7731 to schedule an appointment.  After that, call 696-4805 by Aug 2.  For more information, call Sharon Daggett at 653-5515

*On Weds night, the Payson FFA had great success at two different events:

1.  At the District Public Speaking contest (the District competition is the best of 5 sections from 60 schools) -

• Seth Terwelp placed 6th in Extemporaneous Public Speaking
• Courtney Porter placed 5th in Prepared Pulbic Speaking
• Kira Eidson placed 2nd in FFA Creed Speaking.  Kira advances to the State level competition and is in the top 10 in the state.

2.  The Payson FFA Ag Mechanics team placed 1st as a team for the 6th consecutive year at the Section event at WIU.  The team advances to the state competition in May.  Congratulations and Good luck!
