*We are having a freshman class meeting during lunch today (3/2) in Mr. Carey's room. Please attend!  You will be expected to stay the entire lunch period.

*JH Basketball players--A team picture will be taken today at 2:30.  Please bring your uniform, shooting shirt & long sleeve Payson Braves shirt.

*5th/6th Basketball plays at home tonight vs Unity at 6:00.

*Pike County Honor Band rehearsal will be tonight from 6:30-8:30 pm in Pittsfield.  Bus time is 4:45 pm from the high school.

*Homecoming decorations need to be taken down ASAP.

*Seniors--If you have not turned in your senior picture for the senior video, please turn it in by March 15.  You can give a picture to Bryce Terwelp, Alex Wiseman or Brittany Speckhart or e-mail it to inidan.wrapup@gmail.com.  If your picture is not turned in by the 15th, the picture taken by Churchill Photography will be used.

*There is no school on Mon, March 7 for Casmir Pulaski Day.

*JWCC’s Foundation scholarship applications are due on Friday, March 11, 2011.  They should be delivered to the Advancement Office (D107).

*Weightlifting for this week will be tonight and Friday.  Congratulations to Chase Mast who broke the school record for bench in his weight class

*IHSA Solo & Ensemble for High School will be Sat, March 5 in Rushville.  Bus time is 6:00 am.

*JH Band & Choral students need to sign up to work at the upcoming Lions Club breakfast on Sat, March 5.  Please sign up in the band room.

*Our next blood drive is on March 8th.  Come sign up with Mrs. Rosenkrans for an appointment.  Permission slips for 16 year olds are in the office.

*Student Council members--don't forget to turn in your officer applications to Mrs. Rosenkrans.  They are in her room.  Also, don't forget to bring in your toppings for the ice cream social

*The Student Council 1st semester pizza party will be on Thurs, March 10 during lunch.  See the list in Mrs. Rosenkrans room to find out if you have enough points to come and to sign up for what kind you'd like.

*Sophomores--a reminder to bring in your signed permission slip for the March 8^th Career Fair at JWCC.

*Sophomore class shirts are $13.00.  If you have ordered one, please pick it up from Mr. Smith.

*Sophomores--Please turn in your community service hours.  Check out the office window or the art room door to see who has turned in hours.

*Blue foam fingers with white lettering saying Payson Seymour are now for sale for only $5.00.  An example is in the office window.  See Mrs. Gilligan if interested.

• The Homecoming Dance is Sat, March 5.
• JH Dance is Fri, March 18 from 7-10 pm in the MPR.
• Prom is April 16.
• High School Graduation is Sun, May 22 at 3:00. 
• Baccalaureate is Sun, May 15 at 3:00 at Bluff Hall Church.
• The dead week in the summer for athletics is July 17-23.

*QND is holding their 3 on 3 basketball tournament on March 19 at QU.  Entry forms are available in the office and are due Fri, March 4.

*Juniors & Seniors--Adams Electric Coop is sponosoring an all-expense paid trip to Washington DC, June 11-17.  Interested students must complete a short answer application.  More information is available in the office.

*The Illinois Laborers’ and Contractors Joint Apprenticeship and Training Program is accepting applications.  Applications are accepted only at Laborer Local Union Halls on the first Tuesday of each month during designated hours.  Visit them on the web at www.illaborers.org.
